چکیده

In the present study, a novel strategy for effective production of hydrolase via fermentation food waste was developed to improve methane from anaerobic digestion activated sludge (WAS). Via pre-fermentation waste, could be efficiently enriched and then directly used enhance hydrolysis with no need extraction purification enzymes. The results this study indicate that activities predominant hydrolase, mainly including protease amylase in pre-fermented reach 4861.10 U/g 3909.14 mg/(mL·min), respectively. elevated hydrolases evidently enhanced by more than 50% addition 15 g fermented per 200 sludge. released organic matter presented much better biodegradability, which BOD5/COD (B/C) increased 0.33 raw WAS 0.41 pretreated Moreover, substantially improved 2140 mL 7187 adding 30 into sludge, about 24.3% contributed hydrolase. preliminary economic assessments net profit 7.99 USD/m3 is likely harvested applying strategy. Furthermore, provide another innovative route further optimize conventional co-digestion process WAS.

Anaerobic co-digestion of coffee waste and sewage sludge.

The feasibility of the anaerobic co-digestion of coffee solid waste and sewage sludge was assessed. Five different solid wastes with different chemical properties were studied in mesophilic batch assays, providing basic data on the methane production, reduction of total and volatile solids and hydrolysis rate constant. Most of the wastes had a methane yield of 0.24-0.28 m3 CH4(STP)/kg VS(initia...

Simultaneous treatment of sewage sludge and food waste by the unified high-rate anaerobic digestion system.

This study aimed to evaluate the performance of the unified high-rate anaerobic digestion (UHAD) system treating co-substrate of sewage sludge and food waste. A 24-hr operating sequence consisted of four steps including fill, react, settle, and draw. The effects of co-substrate and organic loading rate (OLR) on the performance were investigated to verify the system applicability. In each OLR, t...

Improvement of Anaerobic Digestion of Sewage Sludge, Using Combined Hydrogen Peroxide and Thermal Pre-Treatment

The present study investigates the influence of individual and combined hydrogen peroxide and thermal pre-treatment of waste activated sludge on anaerobic digestion. For so doing, it employs anaerobic batch reactors in the mesophilic conditions. For comparison, soluble fractions of organic matter, biogas production, biochemical methane potential, removal of chemical oxygen demand (COD), and vol...

Inverted phase fermentation as a pretreatment for anaerobic digestion of cattle manure and sewage sludge.

The aim of this research study was to analyse the effect of applying inverted phase fermentation (IPF) prior to the anaerobic digestion of cattle manure and sewage sludge. IPF promotes the endogenous bacteria present in waste and hence enzymatic hydrolysis, producing a solid-liquid separation. The clarified bottom layer or liquid phase (LP, 70% volume in manure and 65% in sludge), and the thick...
